Details: Product Description The Westbrass E507D-1F is a 7-inch front-connect diverter tub spout built for standard 1/2 inch IPS front-threaded wall nipple installations. BEFORE ORDERING, confirm your wall pipe uses a 1/2 inch IPS front-thread connection. This spout is NOT COMPATIBLE with rear-thread or slip-fit copper pipe configurations. NOTE: When replacing an existing spout, inspect your wall pipe threads carefully before installation; years of corrosion or overtightening during removal can damage pipe threads, and installing any new spout onto a compromised pipe will affect fit and function. This model provides a diverter function that redirects water to a showerhead. If you do not need this feature please consider the Westbrass E507-1F series which is just a dedicated tub filling spout. At 7 inches of projection from the wall, this spout extends slightly longer than standard length, directing water flow toward the center of the tub and reducing splash on wider deck surfaces. The built-in front-pull diverter switches water flow between the tub spout and showerhead — pull the diverter knob up to redirect flow to the shower, and it automatically resets when the water is turned off.
