- ACTIVATED ZEOLITE: Means that the zeolite is heated to more than 450 degrees Celsius during processing, so that not only the free water but also the bound, crystalline water is dried. Activated zeolite has higher ion exchange capacity than inactive zeolite. It has a cage or honeycomb crystalline network that provides many sites for binding.
