Details: TotalBoat Krypton is a copper-free ablative bottom paint with a unique dual biocide formula that combines Econea and Zinc for powerful antifouling protection. Use Krypton on aluminum, fiberglass, wood, and steel hulls to prevent barnacles, slime, weeds, algae, zebra mussels, and other growth. Ablative formula wears away gradually to expose fresh biocide and reduce paint buildup to make prep and painting easier next season. This marine paint is especially effective in areas with high slime and algae growth or in copper-restricted waters. Powerboats, sailboats, aluminum boats, and pontoons alike will enjoy full season protection in all waters. Apply Krypton with a chip brush, 3/16" nap roller, or spray equipment over properly prepared surfaces, including most existing hard and ablative bottom paints in good condition. Prime bare aluminum with Aluminum Boat Barrier Coat and fiberglass, wood, and steel with TotalProtect Epoxy Barrier Coat for maximum adhesion. Apply in temperatures between 50-90°F with humidity below 90%. Most boats need only 1-2 coats, with an extra coat recommended on high-wear areas such as skegs and leading keel edges. Thin up to 10% with Brushing Thinner 100 or Spray Thinner 101. Launch 2-8 hours after the final coat, depending on temperature, with no maximum launch window. Haul and relaunch without repainting—the biocide remains active. Because it doesn’t contain copper. Krypton cures to brighter colors than traditional bottom paints. Available in Black, Blue, Green, Red, and White in Quart and Gallon sizes. Quart sizes are available in Black, Blue, and White only and are typically enough for underwater metals. Covers up to 500 sq. ft. per gallon. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area and protect from freezing. For below-the-waterline antifouling use only.
