- Heat and Noise Control: The aluminum-faced 10 mm foam helps reduce radiant heat transfer and absorb some engine and panel noise when installed beneath a hood or on other vehicle panels. Performance varies by vehicle, coverage and installation.
- Large Trim-to-Fit Sheet: The 39.4 x 47.2 in sheet provides about 12.9 sq ft of material for many cars, trucks, SUVs and vans. This is universal insulation material, not a molded OEM hood liner, so measure the installation area and confirm 10 mm clearance before ordering.
- Self-Adhesive Installation: Clean, degrease and fully dry the metal surface, test-fit and trim the sheet, then peel the backing and press firmly from the center outward. A roller, compatible supplemental adhesive or retainers may help on overhead, textured or high-stress surfaces.
- Multiple Vehicle Areas: Trim the foam for hood undersides, firewalls, roofs, doors, floors, trunks, wheel wells and other flat or gently curved metal panels with sufficient clearance. Keep it away from moving parts and direct contact with exhaust manifolds, turbochargers or other extreme-heat components.
