What is D-Mannose? D-Mannose is an isomer of glucose and not glucose and has almost no discernible metabolic activity (ingested D-Mannose goes through you and ends up in the urine). Mannose is absorbed eight times more slowly than glucose; and, when ingested, it is not converted to glycogen or stored in the liver, but instead, Mannose goes directly to the blood-stream from the upper gastrointestinal tract.
