Details: The midbrass water hammer is an effective way to stop pipes when valves or outlets are suddenly closed. It is very simply fitted as it attaches directly to washing machine valves with its 3 4" m 3 4" f compression fittings. It can also be easily adapted elsewhere in the house. Installed within 1.5m of the source of the problem, the pipe problem will be solved, providing continued protection against water hammer or pulse damage. Installation instructions: can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Install the female hose threads on your washing machine's shutoff valves. Install the washing machine supply hose onto the male threaded outlet of the hammer guard. Tighten the connections by hand and use a wrench to tighten an additional quarter turn. Do not overtighten. Important: a pressure reducing valve must be installed before the hammer guard for any system pressure greater than 60 psi (4 bar).
